Sun spots

What are sun spots?

Sun spots are flat brown, gray, or black spots on the skin. They usually occur on sun-exposed areas. Sun spots are also called liver spots, senile lentigo, solar lentigines, or age spots.

What causes sun spots?

Sun, or age spots, are the result of an excess production of melanin, or skin pigment. Doctors don’t always know why age spots develop. Skin aging, sun exposure, or other forms of ultraviolet (UV) light exposure, such as tanning beds, are all possible causes. You’re most likely to develop age spots on the areas of your skin that receive the most sun exposure.

What can I do for my brown spots?

When they are light and have recently started to develop, we often suggest Microdermabrasion.

When they are more pronounced, or more frequent, we suggest the Royal anti-aging treatment or rejuvenation treatment.

It is very important to have a strong at home routine to prevent the apparition of more brown spots.
