What is the Vivier peel?
The Vivier peel is a non abrasive peel that is done after a facial. It contains 10% lactic acid, 2% salicylic acid and 14% resorcinol and it targets the epidermis of your skin rather than penetrating down to deeper layers.
What skin issues does it target?
The Vivier peel can help solve a variety of issues
- Tired or dull complexion
- Open pores
- Oily skin
- Fine lines
- Brown spots
How many treatments should I expect to see results?
A difference can be observed after the very first treatment. However, depending on the issue you want to target, and how advanced it is, your technician will be able to recommend exactly how many treatments are recommended for YOUR skin.
Is the Vivier peel painful?
The application may bring a slight discomfort with a sensation similar to a light tingling that only lasts a few moments.
Will I need special care after the Vivier peel?
There is no recovery time after the Vivier peel. However, one may experience a slight irritation. Initially you will have a nice glow to your skin. Around day three, you start to shed individual skin cells, so the skin can look slightly dryer and you can have some mild flaking from day three to day five. Some clients do not peel at all. It is also of the utmost important to wear a strong sun protection after the peel (min SPF 30). Furthermore, it is always recommended to continue to care for your skin at home. Your technician will be able to advice you on what to add/remove from your skin routine.
Who can benefit from the Vivier peel?
The Vivier peel is suitable for men and women of all ages, and of any skin colour. The only contraindications are for Accutane use, rosacea, very dry skin, very thin skin and severe acne. For the Accutane, you would need to wait a minimum of 6 months after the end of your treatment.
