Anti Acne Deep Cleansing Facial

Acne is an inflammation of the skin that causes blackheads, whiteheads, and red spots usually called “pimples” or “zits.” Acne appears most often on the face, but can also be a nuisance on your chest, back, and upper arms. Acne affects about 90% of adolescents and can also occur in adulthood, usually affecting people aged 20 to 40 years.

Causes

Acne develops because your sebaceous glands are overactive. These glands normally produce small amounts of sebum, which is a thick mixture of oil and skin cells. When you have acne, these glands go into overproduction and the extra sebum can block your follicles and bacteria can move in.

Acne symptoms vary from one person to another. They include:

Blackheads (black spots the size of a pinhead) are open right on the surface of your skin (superficial) and don’t leave scars
Whiteheads or pustules, the most common type of acne, are usually the first lesions people get – they don’t turn black because they’re not exposed to the air
Deep pustules and cysts look irritated, they’re usually red and swollen with visible pus
Deep acne can be more severe – it’s usually red, inflamed, filled with pus, and painful to the touch

Do I need an anti-acne treatment?

If you have an acne or oily prone skin type, it is recommended to have these imperfections addressed by a professional. It is best to have your extractions of black and white heads done by a skin care technician since doing it at home can cause irritation, scars and skin infections.

What type of anti-acne treatment can I get?

Our anti-acne facials are some of the most efficient because we adapt the treatment to your skin’s needs following an evaluation with your esthetician. The treatment will vary according to the acne’s grade.

Facial Stop acne : Grade 1

Grade I acne is the mildest form of acne. There may be minor pimples but they will be small and appear only very occasionally, and in small numbers (one or two). Blackheads and milia will be found, sometimes in great numbers, but there is no inflammation in Grade I acne.

Facial Stop acne : Grade 2

Grade II is considered moderate acne. There will be blackheads and milia, generally in greater numbers. You will start seeing more papules and the formation of pustules in this stage. They will appear with greater frequency, and general breakout activity will be more obvious. Slight inflammation of the skin is now apparent.

Facial Stop acne : Grade 3

This type of acne is considered severe. The main difference between Grade II acne and Grade III is the amount of inflammation present. The skin is now obviously reddened and inflamed. Papules and pustules have developed in greater numbers, and nodules will be present.

What should I expect during my anti-acne Facial?

In all anti-acne treatments, we will start by cleansing the skin with a specific dermatologist approved products. Then, we will use a combination of devices to get rid of all blackheads and whiteheads beneath the skin’s surface. In certain cases, the use of the Oxygen Water Jet, LED light therapy, IPL and/or mild peeling can be added to maximize the results. We finish the treatment by applying a mask and highly hydrating and toning products to prevent the skin’s dehydration and to protect its freshly exfoliated surface.

The prices for anti-acne treatments start at 220$.
